Y6 Trip to Churchill War Rooms
On Monday, we travelled to central London to head underground and visit the Churchill War Rooms. We entered interested and left informed. We were welcomed by a rack of headphones and devices to help us along with a virtual audio guide. We started off at the war room where officials held top secret meetings. We then went to gaze in wonder at the bedrooms of the officers and Churchills. After that, we entered the interactive Churchills Museum where there were virtual activities as well as a huge queue for a telescope. You could see Winston Churchill's old school reports. Then we moved on to the marvellous room of maps. To finish, we arrived at the gift shop where we dropped off our audio guides and we saw Winston Churchill as a rubber duck. We then came out of the war rooms museum and returned to school.
